Back to School with Unicorns!

It seems like summer has passed by in the blink of an eye and before we know it the kiddos will be back in school.  One of my standout memories of the season is the popular unicorn trend which has popped up everywhere – remember the limited time Frappuccino at Starbucks?

For those of us who have a special place in our heart for unicorns, I’ve picked a few fun styles that will allow this majestic creature to accompany our little students when it’s time for the school bell to ring again.

Happy shopping! 😊

BabyGenie.com – The BFF for Moms-to-Be!

Planning for baby can be a bit overwhelming to say the least.  Though I now consider myself a sophomore mom, I still find myself reminiscing about what worked best for me as I witness friends and family members having their first babies. (Three amazing little ones have arrived already this year with another one making his or her arrival very soon😊)

With so many different needs to consider, wouldn’t it be great to have one single resource for advice and tips on how to prepare for baby?  When I discovered Babygenie.com, I honestly felt a bit late to the party given the amazing tools and resources that literally begin at the moment of the journey towards becoming pregnant.  Even better, the online advice is free and there’s also a free app available for download on Google Play and iTunes.

What I especially love about Babygenie.com is the ability to browse by category for recommendations as to how you can prepare for every possible need you can think of when it comes to welcoming your baby home.  From setting up the nursery, to recommended furniture, to every single essential item that you will you come to rely on during your baby’s first year and beyond.

Babygenie Categories

As most women will share with expectant moms, the closer you get to your baby’s expected arrival, the more you will receive unsolicited advice from parents, friends, and loved ones; all of whom have their unique opinions as to what it’s like to become a parent and how you should prepare, etc.  While advice is always welcome, you as the expectant parent will of course have your own ideas as to how you would like to prepare for your baby’s arrival, including how you will style your nursery, the type of crib, car seat, stroller, pack and play, and other essentials you prefer.  Enter the baby shower moment….if you’re like me, at the beginning of the pregnancy you’ll see a print you absolutely adore and will want to multiply that look across all your categories – for example, chevron everything – LOL!

Having a resource like Babygenie.com allows you to easily seek advice on how to prepare and most importantly build a baby registry that you can share with friends and family as well as link your wish lists across various stores.  This is especially helpful when you have favorites located at different stores from whom you want to purchase baby gear which the Babygenie.com registry will allow you to do.  What’s even more fun is the registry builder resembles a Pinterest layout so you can spend lots of time creating unique boards by category of your wish list items that are then searchable when a shower guest logs on to Babygenie.com to view your baby shower registry.

As I now live vicariously through friends and family having children, I will definitely recommend Babygenie.com as a reliable go-to resource for their journey from pregnancy to becoming a member of the best club in the world, motherhood!

Summer Style Prep: Straw Bags

Summer is right around the corner! As we get ready for warmer days, trips to the pool, and walks along sandy beaches, I’m excited to share trending styles that are sure to have our little ones ready to take on the sun.

A straw bag is one of my long-time favorite summer fashion staples and I love seeing smaller versions for the little ladies in our lives.
